Aloe delaetii
Aloe × delaetii is a fast-growing, hardy succulent hybrid created by crossing Aloiampelos ciliaris (Climbing Aloe) and Aloe succotrina. It is highly regarded for its ornamental value, forming dense, clumping rosettes of deep green leaves that can blush reddish-bronze when exposed to high levels of sunlight
- Temperature Tolerance: It can survive temperatures down to approximately 4.5°C (40°F). Below this, the plant is at high risk of cell damage and rot.
- Winter Survival: Some enthusiasts have successfully kept it on sheltered balconies down to -7°C for very brief periods, but this is risky and not recommended for the average gardener.
