Agave atrovirens v atrovirens
£3.00White agave
A large Agave that forms a stunning rosette, to 4 m (13 ft.) wide, with huge, bluish-gray green leaves with attractive reddish thorns. It is one of the largest Agave, native to Oaxaca, Mexico, but known only from cultivation, not from the wild. It does best in a warm temperate climate, where it needs ample room and will appreciate plenty of water in summer. Agave atrovirens is fermented into pulque and roasted and distilled to make mezcal.

Agave bracteosa
£4.50Agave bracteosa "Squid Agave". Quite resistant to UK wet and cold.
Grows to about 2 feet across. Unusually for agaves, it has leaves without spines/thorns so safe for children/near pathways.
In the wild it grows in cracks in vertical limestone cliffs, so it is ideal for planting in walls.
